胡愷昕透過繪畫將熟悉的事情陌生化，她視生活中的景物與人如舞台劇般的設置，她著重空間裡每樣元素與人物之間的關係與對話，並將個人的想像伸延於作品上，利用周遭靜止及變異的景象凸顯出人類心境。
Glary Wu’s work transforms and defamiliarizes the conversant things through painting and drawing. For her, reality imitates theatre, including sceneries and different people; the dialogue between elements and characters in the same space is key, adding a dash of imagination in pieces, to accentuate the human mind through static surroundings and changing sceneries.
